Frequently Asked Questions

It’s normal to feel overwhelmed when sitting in stillness and coming close to oneself.
There can be many reasons one feels overwhelmed. Maybe you are not used to meditation, or feeling stressed, you have current or past trauma, or you suddenly face feelings and emotions that you haven’t worked through for some time.
If this refers to you, my strong recommendation is to do some physical activity, to let out some tension and release blockages before sitting down. Preferably sit down to meditate immediately after your exercise. And now, try again.
Another advice would be to seat yourself outside, as close to nature as possible. If you are away from nature, you can open a window so that you can see the sky and feel the wind, or even light a candle to let an element of nature accompany you in your practice.
